Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of MCPowered. The site is currently free; paid tiers ship with an addendum that this document will reference once they exist. Counsel review is pending for paid-tier launch; the v0 free tier operates under the clauses below.
1 · No warranty of fitness for any purpose
MCPowered is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Use of MCPowered is at your sole risk.
2 · No liability for downstream actions
MCPowered surfaces scan results and catalog data about Model Context Protocol servers. You are responsible for any decision to install, configure, or operate any MCP server based on information you see on MCPowered. MCPowered, its operator, and any future entity that operates MCPowered are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your installation or use of any MCP server.
3 · No guarantee of scan accuracy
Scans are best-effort static analysis at a point in time. The methodology page documents what is checked and what is not. Static analysis cannot observe runtime behavior, server-side dynamic responses, supply-chain compromise of transitive dependencies, or future code changes. A scanned-clean result is not a guarantee that a server is free from issues.
4 · No representation of safety
MCPowered describes; it does not certify. Reports are factual statements about scan outputs. They are not claims about whether any server is appropriate for your use case. The per-report disclaimer (quoted verbatim on the methodology page) restates this on every report.
5 · The user is the evaluator
You are responsible for evaluating any MCP server before you install or operate it. MCPowered's reports inform your judgment; they do not replace it. The decision to install any server, the configuration of permissions, the credentials you connect, and the data you expose are yours.
6 · Service availability
MCPowered operates on a best-effort uptime basis. There are no service-level agreements at the free tier. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure failures, or external dependencies may interrupt service without notice.
7 · Data we collect
At the free tier, MCPowered collects: the URLs you submit for scanning; your IP address (for rate-limiting and abuse prevention); standard server-side request logs (timestamps, user agent, referrer). MCPowered does not require an account at the free tier and does not collect personally identifying information. The privacy policy describes data retention and access in full.
8 · Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold MCPowered (and its operator, employees, and agents) harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your installation or operation of any MCP server informed by data you obtained from MCPowered. MCPowered does not indemnify you against any claims arising from your installation decisions.
9 · Verified-publisher tier (when offered)
The verified-publisher tier is post-v0 and not currently offered. When it launches, an addendum will be published at this URL. The addendum will require verified publishers to warrant the truth of the specific claims they sign and to indemnify MCPowered against any claims arising from those attestations being false.
10 · Governing law and jurisdiction
Pending counsel review before paid-tier launch. The current expectation is Delaware (US) jurisdiction for the operating entity once incorporated, with consideration of an EU entity if EU revenue share warrants. This clause will be updated when the legal entity is formed.
11 · Modification and termination
MCPowered may update these terms by publishing a new version at this URL. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current revision. Continued use of MCPowered after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. You may stop using MCPowered at any time. There is currently no account to terminate.
12 · DMCA and takedown
If you believe content on MCPowered infringes your copyright, contact dmca@mcpowered.com with the standard DMCA notice elements (identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material, your contact information, a good-faith statement, and a signature). MCPowered will respond per the DMCA process.
